Used Forklift Equipment
Our purchasing policy and low overheads enable us to
provide quality used equipment rebuilt to a high standard
at competitive prices. The build quality of Caterpillar
gives a sound manufacturing base with minimal problems
of parts availability and costs.
Safety Checked and Serviced
Attention is given to all safety aspects namely; brakes,
steering, upright assembly, load chains and structural
welding. The equipment is steam cleaned, serviced and
load tested to conform to the requirements of the Health
and Safety at Work Act (1974) with a relevant chain
test certificate. Warranty for parts and labour is given.
Overhaul
The equipment is disassembled and pressure cleaned
to enable a full inspection of chassis and mast hangers.
All sub assemblies are removed, tested and repaired
as required. Mast and carriage is inspected and re-rollered,
re-chromed and re-sealed where necessary and brakes
overhauled. Hoist chains and forks are tested and replaced
where required. Hydraulic valve and lever assemblies
overhauled. Main drive and pump motors removed, bench
tested and repaired as required. Option of new batteries
with overhauled charger. Control system/wiring and contractors
checked. Tyres are replaced if more than 20% worn. Fork
trucks can be re-sprayed to customers requirements and
a logo can be included.
Rebuild
A fully refurbished fork truck involves a complete
strip of the machine to its bare chassis to permit individual
inspection of truck components. The chassis is cleaned
and welds inspected for structural strength by optical/visual
means. Rebuild or replace all sub assemblies as required
and individually bench test. Incorporate safety and
improvement modifications as required. Careful attention
is paid to ensure the machine remains completely standard
for spares compatibility. New traction battery fitted
and the charger tested. The fork truck can be re-sprayed
in original livery or in customers fleet colour plus
logo if required. All used equipment is safety checked
to conform to the requirements of the Health and Safety
at Work Act (1974) and a relevant chain test certificate
issued.
